Progressive Van Lines - Ay Transport
It 's all starting for us! Sounds just like all of you!

Today is July 29 and our belongings, in a perfect world, should be arriving to Lakeland, Florida tomorrow.
Unfortunately this is not a perfect world and we picked the wrong moving company! I just wish I had been able to read these complaints three weeks ago.
My husband and I moved to Florida on July 27 from Michigan. We left Michigan on July 25 and took 2 days to get down here.

We were going to get a Uhaul truck but we heard horror stories about them and it was a lot more expensive. I thought it would be great to pay a lot less and have people move all of our stuff for us. Big Mistake!
I asked for a quote from Progressive Van Lines over the internet and I got a phone call from Amit, the sales rep., who was very friendly and the company sounded great. I checked them out online, I was a little skeptical because they had only been in business for five years but I checked them out on the BBB website and they had no complaints.

We decided to go with Progressive Van Lines, even though to have our stuff delivered by July 30, they would have to pick it up on July 20 because supposedly it takes 7-10 days from the pick-up date to be delivered.
On July 20, when the movers came we were a little thrown off again because we thought we were moving with progressive van lines and all of the forms we signed were Ay Transport, I didn't know why it was two different companies.

We spent five days in Michigan sleeping on the floor because they had to pick up our stuff so far in advance.
When the movers picked up our stuff we were informed that they would call us with the final weight the next day so that we would know our remaining balance. They never called so we called them; they said it had not been put in the computer and that we would find out on the next day, which would be July 22.

The next day we didn't hear anything so we called them and finally after being on hold forever and getting the run around they finally gave us our remaining balance after a $300 deposit of $1104, which I didn't think was too bad because our original quote was $1047 and they said it may be a little more if the weight went over. They never did tell us the weight, just the price.
We thought that everything was fine but we were thrown off by how unprofessional everybody was, with being transferred to many different people when we called and being put on hold for so long and everybody seemed like they knew nothing,

So we drove to Florida!
We arrived on July 27 and figured that we weren't lucky enough to have our stuff delivered on that day so we didn't contact anybody. Again, they were suppose to call us 24 hours in advance to let us know they would be there.

On July 28 my husband started to worry about our stuff, so he called the company in California. After again being on hold for about 20 minutes a lady got on the phone, didn't get her name, and said that our stuff would not be delivered until next Thursday, August 5.
At first she said that we requested to have our stuff put in storage, which was not true at all. Then she said that it wasn't 7-10 days after the pick-up date but 7-10 days after the first day that we would be available to have it delivered.

Does that make any sense? If I had known that it was 7-10 days after the first day that I was available, then I would have said that I was available on July 20!
My husband told the lady that he wanted to speak to a supervisor or a manager and she told him that he does not speak to customers!

I got on the Website July 28 after he talked to her and sent an email to the company. I didn't hear anything back.

Today, July 29, I called the company again. I talked to a lady, again didn't get her name. I told her my situation and wanted to know why on all of the paperwork I signed, my delivery date said July 27-30 and now she was telling me something different, she kept apologizing and telling me that it wont be delivered until next Thursday and the movers would call 24 hours in advance.
I told her that I wasn't satisfied and asked her what she was going to do for me and she said that there was nothing she could do and when I told her that there was no way I was paying $1100 for a service I was not satisfied with she told me that the movers will not unload the truck until they have the money!

I said that on my insurance form, from the separate insurance company, TG International Insurance Brokerage, the delivery date is stated as July 27-30, so if I don't have it by then I can make a claim that my stuff has not arrived and that it is lost and the lady told me that the was my problem if I wanted to do that.
I told her, then, that I wanted to speak to somebody higher than her, when I first called I asked to speak to a manager and she said that she was a supervisor and that she could help me.

When I asked to speak to somebody higher then her she again said that her boss didn't talk to customers.
It is now a few hours after that phone conversation and I am just finding this Website and all of the similar complaints about this company.

I just can't believe it, who knows if our stuff will actually even make it. The reports keep getting worse!
We are definitely interested, no not interested, adamant about filing and joining a lawsuit on this company!
