Complaint / Review
National Moving Network, Progressive Van Lines
Delivery, Damaged and Missing Goods

1. June 02 I contacted The Moving Network and spoke with Barb my customer service agent. I informed her of my move from Fairfax, VA to Sanford, FL. I requested a date as soon as possible.

2. On June 04 I attempted to contact Barb to narrow down and date and she was out of the office. I spoke with another customer service agent and she informed me the movers would pick up my household goods on June 08.

3. On June 06 The local moving dispatcher from Progressive Van Lines contacted me a requested to pick up my goods on June 07. I informed him that would be great and also at that time I inquired about an estimated delivery date. He informed me it would take from 5-7 days.

4. On June 07 The moving truck arrived at approximately 9:45 AM. They loaded the truck and were on their way within an hour. Once again I inquired about the delivery date and Maurice informed me it would take approximately 7-10 days.

5. On June 14 I contacted Barb from National Moving Network inquiring the delivery of my goods and I was informed that they were still in fact in VA. The driver apparently had family drama and the goods were not able to be shipped. She informed me that my goods would be leaving in a day or so and I would be contacted by the driver on June 18 with a delivery time and date between June 19 -20.

6. On June 18 - I made several attempts to contact Bar from National Moving Network to inquire about my goods. After several attempts and leaving a voicemail she did not return my call.

7. On June 21, I contacted customer service with Progressive Van Lines, and was informed my goods would be delivered between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, on June 22.

8. On June 22 At approximately 1:30PM I had not heard from Progressive Van Lines so I contacted customer service. I was informed that the truck had mechanical problems and would be delivered no later than Friday, June 25. Barb from National Moving Network has yet to return my call at this point. I made several attempts to reach her via phone and left 2 voicemails that she contact me immediately. Later in the afternoon/evening I contacted National Moving Network and requested to speak to a Manager and I would put through directly to Barb. Her reasons for not returning my calls was due to that she was too busy.

9. On June 23 I contacted Progressive Van Lines Customer Service and they informed me that my goods would be delivered no later than Sunday, June 27. The customer service agent in turn provided me with the Florida dispatcher's cell phone. I contacted Barok regarding the delivery of my goods. He informed me my goods would be delivered no later than June 27. This was due to no trucks being available. After concluding my conversation with Barok I contacted Barb with National Moving Network due to my frustration with Progessive Van Lines. She contacted Barok and she reassured me that my goods would be delivered between June 25 and June 27.

10. On June 24 I contacted Barok and he reassured me that my goods would be delivered on June 26 or June 27.

11. On June 25 I contacted Barok and he stated that my goods would in fact be delivered either on June 26 or June 27.

12. On June 26 I contacted Barok once again to confirm my delivery date and he informed me; my goods would be delivered on June 27.

13. On June 27 I contacted Barok once again to get a delivery time of my goods and he informed me that my goods would be delivered on June 30. I informed him that was unaccepted and I wanted by goods delivered on June 29. It explained to me that it was a misunderstanding. It keeps referring me to the customer service number. Letters were sent to the Better Business Bureau and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regarding the issue.

14. On June 28 I contacted Barbara regarding the delivery of my goods and inquire about a percentage refund of the $1265.00 paid for the move. A letter was faxed to the Director of Customer Service requested the compensation and delivery of my goods. Spoke with Barbara after receipt of the letter and would contact the dispatcher and let me know once he has been reached.

15. On June 29 Email sent to Progressive Van Lines inquiring about the delivery of my household goods. Email was sent via their website, contact us hyperlink. Spoke with Barok and he confirmed that my household goods would be delivered between 10 AM 12PM on June 30. I'm scheduled for the 1st delivery of the day.

16. On June 30 Spoke with Barok at approx 11:30 AM and my goods were loaded and the driver was due to leave within the hour and contact me directly. At approx. 4:00 PM I phone Barok and was placed on indefinite hold. I called back and Barok informed me that my goods would be delivered the following the day. The driver apparently had to rest from Hollywood, FL to Orlando, FL. This is only a 4 hour drive.

17. On July 01 - At approximately 2:00 PM my household goods finally arrived. Needles to say they did not arrive in the same condition when they left Fairfax, VA. Nor were all of my goods delivered. Some how they are lost in moving heaven. They damaged dishes, dresser, TV Stand. Also I was missing 2 boxes which included a leather jacket, wool jacket, other clothing and shoes, and small kitchen appliances.

18. A claim was filed on July 16 and today is July 29 and I have yet to hear from them. I called and left a message but they have not returned my calls.

The Better Business Bearu and Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration were notified on June 27. Needless to say that National Moving Network accepted no responsibility and referred me back to Progressive Van Lines. This was my first time using movers and I had no idea that National Moving Network was a broker until they called me to let me know the name of the carrier who was to pick up and transport my goods. This was very misleading.

I would be interested in joining any lawsuits that anyone has filed against National Moving Network or Progressive Van Lines.
