On 6/24, I made arrangements to move from california to Denver - Co, with US van lines, the date that they were supposed to pick up my stuff was July 01, or July 02... So on the June 30 the company called and said they would not be able to pick up my stuff on the date agreed, so they wanted to reschedule for July 04 or 05. I've already packed all my stuff; everything is inside boxes and I just can't live like that for that long... Besides I wanted to be in denver in time for the 4th. I said I could not wait that long and that I wanted to cancel everything and go with another company, so they said ok, but I would not be able to recover my deposit (800 bucks).. Which is ridiculous. The only way to recover that money, they said, is if I wait until July 2 and call there 10 min "before they close" if they don't show up on the 2 July. Anyway the company already knows they won't be able to make the proposed date yet is holding my money anyway.
It is a unscrupulous company, with no regards towards custumer satisfaction and the staff is composed of liars! All they are worried about is how they will be able to take your money and rip you off. This company actually is one of the more expensive ones, and I fooled myself into thinking because they are a bit more expensive than the others I would pay more and wouldn't have problems. Yet now all I have is nothing but problems, and having to deal with stupid people on the phone, holding my money.
Beware of this company!!!
It is very sad that the US doesn't have any effective laws against moving companies that will hold your money, or your stuff, and treat customers like crap.
