Contract was up on July 15. Had number ported to NexTel on July 16. Received bill from Cingular on July 19. It was for the billing cycle of 07-09-04 thru 08-08-04. I called to ask why I'm being charged for a service I no longer have. Was told "That's the way it works. We don't pro-rate.". I wish I could steal money as easy as they do. If a contract expires, and you DO NOT renew, you should be able to walk away the day it expires, right?
