Hello Everyone,

I have been a loyal customer with ADT Security for 6 years.in August of this year we began a renovation in which we had to remove the ADT system. We called ADT and let them know this. We asked if we could go ahead and suspend our account until we were done with the renovation. We were told there was no such thing in their company by a customer service rep. We were told we had to continue to pay the monthly payment regardles if the system was connected or not. This apparently was so that our account could remain current.

We really did not want to disconnect so we opted to make the monthly payments. This bothered me very much because we never missed a payment in 6 years and also we were paying for services not rendered! I called them today and gave them a huge piece of my mind. I told them that I want to disconnect completely because there was this disgust feeling over the way they treated a loyal customer.

FYI: ALL ADT CONTRACTS ARE FOR 3 YEARS. We will be receiving a bill for 300 in the mail because when we moved we had to renew our contract I signed us up for an additional 3years unknowingly because the Installator for ADT failed to discuss this with us in person. We will be fighting this bill because its been almost 6 months since we have received any svs from them.

There are plenty of good Security Companies in the area... SHOP Around for a company that will not rip you off!
