Law Office of Brett Margolin submitted my information to BOA and then did nothing else unless I bothered them. The Law Office of Brett Margolin sat back and waited on me to contact the bank thus break

My house is in foreclosure. I came across the Law Office of Brett Margolin on the net, After speaking with them several times I decided to hire the them, mainly because they were willing to work with me on the payments. I knew better than to put money up front. I paid $750.00 up front and wrote three post dated checks for $500.00 each. The last check was dated for the end of February. I paid the Law Office of Brett Margolin a total of $2,250.00 in hopes of getting a modification. The contract I signed said I would get my money back if I did not get a modification. They submitted my information to the bank in late December. The only time they would follow up with the bank was when I would call and ask how things where going.in early March I contacted the bank myself and by doing so, unaware to me, broke my contract with the Law Office of Brett Margolin. I paid the Law Office of Brett Margolin another $200.00 to write a letter of response on my behalf. This was almost a month after I supposedly broke the contract. Last week I emailed them and asked how things where going with my modification. This past Monday they called and told me that by me talking to the bank I had broke my contract with them. This was six weeks after I had talked to the bank. The Law Office of Brett Margolin then tell me for another $1250.00 thy will resubmit my information to the bank and continue to handle my case. This is a blatant case of bait and switch. Basically the Law Office of Brett Margolin submitted my information to the bank and then did nothing else unless I bothered them. The Law Office of Brett Margolin sat back and waited on me to contact the bank thus breaking the contract so the Law Office of Brett Margolin could keep my money. It took the Law Office of Brett Margolin six weeks to realize I had contacted the bank because the Law Office of Brett Margolin never contacts them. My house is still in foreclosure and I am out $2,450.00 and unless I pay another 1,250.00 the Law Office of Brett Margolin is done with my case. Stay far away from this pitiful excuse of a "Law Firm".
