Stole my social security money from my checking account

My husband and I have been a customer of Directv, for many years. (10yrs.) We moved into another house on same property 1 1/2 yrs ago. We had the directv moved to new place.
Due to the economy and we are on social security and barely able to pay our bills, we called and cancelled directv. We have never missed paying our bill and we returned the equipment right away.
I sent a check for this months bill. I did not know till I went to the store to get a few groceries that directv put a hold on my bank account for $200.00, plus they cashed my check.
I have my light and gas bill, that the checks has not cleared, that will bounce because of the unauthorized withdrawal from my bank account, and I do not owe them anything.
I called them to try to find out why they did this. They claimed it was a cancellation fee. I have never heard of this and told them so. They were not willing to return my money back to my bank.
I contacted the bank and they can't do anything about it because they put a hold on my money.
Now, we will probably have our electricity and gas turned off. We can't even buy groceries. They stole our money.
Anyone with directv, beware and take notice of this fraud. Buy a money order to pay your bill. If you pay by check or electronically, they will steal all your money.
