Cancelled order without notification, refused to return deposit (hold for thirty days)

Company took deposit from checking account. Cancelled services without notification at 9 PM on Friday night. They then refused to refund the money. They said that it is their policy to return the money within 30 days. They had done absolutely nothing for me. Why should they keep my money for 30 days with absolutely no service? My bank is trying to get it back as a cancelled in 3 days charge.
