I ordered a $ 2,650.27 bedroom set from Ashley Home Furniture in Lakeland Fl. 10/24/08. My set did arrive on time 10/30/08 but the top pier had drill holes in it underneath and filled in the black wax of some kind to try and hide the holes that was not to be there in the 1st place. The tall dresser was cracking and spliting apart from the inside top and the lights under glass top was shorting out. The wall unit mirro's where spreading apart to where the glass was about to fall out.
Scratches every where on hole set. When i call there 1-800 number i was told to keep the set and they would take care of it and take money off the cost of the set. 2 days later i was told that they where sending out 1 of there Techs. He said that the set must have been a show floor set or a clearence set, or damaged set from the warehouse" The warehouse must not of had a new set in stock so they sent out the damaged set and tryed to hide it. The next week i get a phone call that they where going to come out with replacement parts!!! If it was new not a clearence set WHY WOULD IT NEED REPLACEMENT PARTS? They had refused to give me a new set or my money back for a refund and said replacement parts only. I had to make a thret to call the BBB of Fl. They finally came and got the set 11/13/08 and took it back now they don't want to give me my refund saying it could take 3 weeks to 2 months to get it back (refund). My husband called the 1-800 number today and they said "There was no refund coming back to us and had no clue what he was talking about" If i could post pictures of what they sent me i would and i think everyone would be shocked... Ashley Home Furniture tryed to RIP ME OFF! Buyers beware. I also tryed to find a corpate phone number to them and there is not 1 to be found... Hummm makes me wonder why it's not posted on there web site or in there store's. Could there be 1,000's or more of complaints and they just don't want to hear it and know they are ripping people off? Now i don't know how to get my money back?
$2,650.27 Why would it take 3 months to get my refund? I wonder if i could charge the 5% intrest for everyday longer it takes to get my money back?
