When I received my AT&T statement for 10-19-07, I saw a charge for voice mail service. I immediately called ILD Teleservices who charged the $8.43 and told them that I never authorized this service. I also told them to cancel the service and give me a credit on my AT&T bill. They gave me a confirmation #. I called again in several weeks to make sure they cancelled the service. They assured me that they did it.
I received my AT&T statement for 11-19-07. I saw another charge for $8.23 for the voice mail service. I called again and they said the service had cancelled, but it takes 30-90 days to do it. This time they gave me the phone # (800) 215-1961, who is the company, Your Product Bill, Inc., who billed these charges. I left a phone message and told them that I have filed a complaint with the Consumer Affairs and I want a credit for my AT&T bill, NOW.
I am on disability and am retired. I have to watch my $ very carefully. Needless to say, these scams are a huge source of stress. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
