Becoming the Walmart of poor quality goods and brainless employees

So far after nearly $7K of remodeling about 15% of every item I've purchased at HD has been either mislabeled or defective right out of the box. Hampton Bay is probably the worst "made in China" product line they carry, and God forbid you ask one of the employees where a certain part is, as you are likely to get an annoyed look with an "over there" response.

Home Depot is slowly following the Walmart model of business. Replace experienced employees with hourly "associates" who are have no knowledge let alone experience with any home improvement projects or DIY. More and more brands are being replaced with made in China crap, all with warranties that cost more in shipping and handling to get them repaired or replaced than they cost new.

I should have known better when they installed the self service check out lanes, but the store's location and my recent move to the area made me think that this store might be different from the one I pledged never to patronize again near my former residence.

Now, to top it all off, I've got some rude little putz calling me telling me I've got a late fee and that my monthly payment is overdue. First off, due to the local store ineptitude they got my address totally wrong, so after 2 months I finally asked where in the hell my card was. I signed up for the 6 months no interest no finance cards, but the catch is that each purchase must be over three hundred dollars. Since it took them two months to get me my card they haven't sent me a bill, but that didn't stop their credit card morons to start pestering me. When I explained that I wasn't going to pay them until I got a bill I got an attitude from the little moron. I told him not to call me again, to which he replied that I had given them my number in order for them to "remind" me of overdue payments, to which I replied that they should have called me immediately when my card came back undeliverable, but of course they blamed the store.

The bottom line is that HD has lost my business forever and I am mad at myself for not checking them out here first, and most of all thinking one store would be different from the next. Apparently they are all the same; low quality products, sales associates on commission and GED educated employees who could care less if they get a good or bad performance review because they know they can get the same pay at Walmart.
