I purchased Sprint PCS in Shawnee, Kansas in April knowing I would soon be moving to Virginia. The sales guy, Chris, insisted I could call after 8pm on the nights and weekends minutes. He and other sales associates insisted I could call after 8pm, instead of 9pm, stating because we were in the midwest and due to the time difference. Although the brochure plainly states nighttime minutes start after 9pm, the unknowledgable staff insisted to me that mine would begin at 8pm. I trusted they knew the plan better than I did so made calls after 8pm.
My plan was supposed to be $39.99 a month. After receiving a more than $200 bill the first month and a more than $400 the second month, I continually called customer service. I was unsuccessful at ever contacting a Real person that actually knew anything about any of their plans. They were all very rude, dishonest and had major lack of people skills. To top it off, none of them could ever direct me to a manager or supervisor.
Three months later I am still very unsatisfied with Sprint PCS service. My service is very unclear, sounds like I am in a barrel and very blurry. Everyone I call comments on how horrible our connection is and how poor I sound. We continually get disconnected and there are so many places this service does not reach. Basically, it is useless in my opinion.
When I moved to VA from KS, I was told in KS that all I would have to do is make a simple phone call to customer service to change my phone number to a local number once I arrived in VA. I did that and received a whopping bill for $150.00 just to change a number! I called and complained big time and that was adjusted. Sprint insisted that it was "simply a computer error". How do computers make errors? Only from incompetant people putting in information.
Today, I received a phone call on my Sprint PCS phone and had a message that I needed to call customer service. I called and they now need a voice verification that I am signed up for a one year service agreement. Get this... I signed a contract in Kansas and paid and still have the service, now suddenly 3 months later, I need to verify that I am a customer??? Supposedly, this is to keep the price I signed my name to in the written agreement. I did get the supervisor's name this time and wrote it down so I will not be charged for something else they probably are trying to trick me into.
Sprint is ripping people off blind. Please do not ever use Sprint PCS or any of it's services. Other cell phone companies have much better deals. Sprint does not switch over to nighttime minutes when your nighttime plan starts... At 9pm. Even if you call at 8:59pm and talk for an hour, you are charged an hour and one minute in your Daytime plan. Now, if that is not a ripoff, then I do not know what is.
