On the 2nd day of April my U.S. Cellular contract expired. I had already purchased a new phone and service plan from Sprint. I was informed at the time of this purchase that Sprint would be able to transfer my phone number from my US Cellular account without any delay in service.
After 6 phone calls to Sprint's customer service, and having spoken to a "supervisor" my phone number has still not been tranferred as of the 5th day of April. I have now had to pay for an extra month of service with US Cellular and the current bill for my new Sprint service plan.
Customer service for Sprint refuses to cancel my service with their company without charging an outrageous $150 early termination fee. I would not even be in this situation had Sprint held up their contractual obligation to transfer my phone number in an efficient manner.
Sprint's irresponsible business practice and incompetence is causing me numerous headaches as far as my business customers being able to stay in contact. I will never again do business with Sprint.
