Im very glad I found this website in time... I had set my alarm on my day off, showered, shaved, got all dressed in my best clothes and and decided to do some last-minute research... The more I read, the more I realized that "Siler-Milton Group" was a scam company. I had read other peoples messages on here about how the companies decribe themselves... Like having free ads on every single job posting website... Saying they have entry level positions, saying they are sports-minded, saying this and that... And without mentioning what the pay was. So I decided to give them a call... So I asked:
"Is this a base salried job? Or is it based solely on commision?"
Jen replies "Im not sure on the details."
So I told Jen (the receptionist) to cancel the interview because I was no longer interested.
Could you imagine if I would have quit my job to take an unpaid position???!! Thats insane. I think YahooJobs, Career Builder, Monster, Hot Jobs, etc need to put an end to these companies. They need to have these scams listed on a complaint page... They need to allow users to leave feedback to save others from a big waste of time. I know the nice people on the usacomplaints.com saved me A LOT of time by making a posting. I hope I can help them back by letting others know of the "siler-milton group" scam.
... I cant imagine dring 66 miles roundtrip for this job... Burning my gas and wasting hours and hours of my time on a payless job...
What we can do is report them to the better business burea or perhaps the state Attorney General.
I also noticed the company isn't very large:
Silermiltongroupinc.com/contacts.html
Brett Siler, President
Direct: (734) 464-3548
Josh Stopper, Operations Manager
Direct: (734) 464-3590
Shahla Powell, Director of Human Resources
Direct: (734) 464-3440
... Not to mention when I called the "3440" number I talked to the receptionist Jen. Isn't that supposed to be Shahla's number? Well, thats a big mistake on their part...
Anyway, what a waste of time...
