Scam Wire Fraud Ripoff Inauthentic items Fake tracking numbers

I found Steve Lasso on www.daboomc.com. We had numerous telephone conversations and I fell for his elaborate scheme to seem like a authorized dealer of denim. After several conversations and assurance that he was the best source for denim, I agreed to purchase 43 pairs of designer denim for a total of $2900.00. At first we agreed to do the transaction through American Express but at the last minute, he said he couldn't do it because of his own issues with fraud (customers used stolen credit cards to make a purchase). Because I needed assurance that I would receive my items, we agreed to do 50% initial payment and 50% upon delivery.

So, I paid him about $1420. He told me the tracking number through UPS would be sent immediately. HOWEVER, after wiring him the money, he avoided all forms of contact through e-mail and phone. After 3-4 days of no response, I called the police and eventually demanded a refund through e-mail and his voicemail. Finally, after almost 6 days, a man named Chris Hansen responded back with a bogus story of Steve getting into a car accident and assured me my items would be sent out through UPS. He scanned a fake shipping label and provided me with a tracking number that didn't work at the time (J188521728).

In fact, he wrote a UPS account number that didn't belong to him (after researching, I found out it belongs to Fairfield Resorts in Florida!) and checked the box stating the amount would be billed to that account. He never shipped anything out and again avoided all contact. I've contacted UPS (they put an alert on his illigitamate use of that account), the bank and the police.

After many threats, he eventually did ship out a package through next day air under that same account number. I received JUNK. I only got 15 pairs of jeans - all dirty and counterfeit items. To make it even more ridiculous, none of the styles I had ordered were sent. I contacted him again and insisted that they were authentic. After threatening to file a civil lawsuit, he assured me he would refund my money if I sent the merchandise back. The police encouraged me to return the merchandise so it would no longer be a civil matter but would now be considered theft and they could get involved. At the moment, the package has been sent back but Steve or Bill refuses to accept the shipment and it has been attempted for delivery three times already. It is ridiculous that this man continues to scam people and not get caught or in trouble. If anyone has filed reports against this man, please contact me. He deserves to sit behind bars!
