Any Uniway you visit is a ripoff! I used to work at one, not saying which. But don't think you're going to go in there and win a big prize, you are NOT! If they give you a key to try to win a new car, did you actually see the car? No, that's because there is NO new car! Every key is a dud!
The membership fee is outrageous. If you're elderly DO NOT PURCHASE this membership. Unless you're building a new house and will furnish it all!
You CAN NOT will or pass on your membership to your children. Sure... You can save money on furniture, etc... But anymore there are SO many furniture outlets, homestores, scratch N dent stores, etc... Popping up that give you good values. After your furniture comes in (takes sometimes up to 4-6 months to get) then you have to pay the shipping fees.
Appliances, go to the nearest appliance store, and just compare prices. Computers? FORGET IT! Not happening. The salesmen don't care about you personally. Once you leave the room and do not buy... They talk about you like a dog! They will tell you anything to get your money... They make a huge fat salary off of you.
I was fired from this pathetic place because I wouldn't lie to the people on the phone, so my "call in" wasn't high. I felt sorry for people coming in there and getting ripped off. They prey on young people with no money. Hey they don't care to ruin your credit. They don't care if you're broke. As long as you hand them a credit card, or down payment.
The membership fee is way too high... Oh yeah... Once you pay that high price and join, you still have to pay $100. Each year to renew!!! Do they even tell you that in the "sales pitch?" Plus, most items have a 10% fee added. The jewlry is nothing but JUNK!
I thought I got a good deal on a ring that I paid only $200.00 for. The book said it was a 14K gold, 1 ct. Total wt. Aniiversary band, valued at $1000.00. BULL! I had it appraised and the stone was so bad and low, it appraised for around $180.00. SO their so called deal was higher than the actual appraisal!
Don't make these salespeople and most of all... The owners richer!!
