Kid you not on this one. Went to UPS to return a regular bed pillow that the stitching fell out. Box was opened, gal at counter saw inside & sold me the tape to seal the box up.
Get the box all taped up and address entered on the UPS computer. Take the pillow to the counter and the gal says she needs to see Government ID because she couldn't be sure of who I was or what was inside the box. I'm not showing ID to mail nothing! What sort of scam is that!
So I told the gal well I forgot my license, she took the box and said oh if you just will give me your social security # that will work. Yeah right. To get this straight to mail anything you need to give UPS your identity that they enter into the handy dandy computer for any of their employees to see. Took my box and left.
All of you holiday shoppers be on guard. Now we have to worry about the UPS folks having to much information. Honestly would you trust UPS with even your drivers license # when they managed to deliver even packing peanuts to me squahsed beyond any use value? Called to cancel mail orders with companies that use UPS. Told them when UPS changes its policy I'll be happy to buy again. Say No The Big Brown and YES to (competitor's name deleted - see below).
