Credit report states I have a collection from Supratelecom - Supra states "it was a mistake"

When I moved from FL in Feb I called and had disconnect of Supra, paying my bill in full the following month, after all extra costs were complete. I gave my forwarding address / phone # to Supra 2 times. The second time after I asked them to double check they took the info and they said NO, pls give it again.

My final bill was sent to me in new state and paid in MArch.

This week I checked out my Free credit report online, and much to my surprise - I have a negative report from SUPRATELECOM staing I have a $60 bill in collections since Feb. I disputed the report - b/c I never received any bill, I paid my final bill and I never received any notice that they were sending anything to collections.

I called Supratelecom, Cust Serv stated they have no record of this - that my bill of $60 was paid in full in March. They also have no idea what collection company would be on my credit report - for "this must be a mistake". (although, he was very nice) In the end, all I could have them commit to is writing a request to call me and the collection company and send a report stating my balance is clear.

In the mean time - I have to (once again) follow up and make calls and spend my time fixing their mistake.
