In December a friend recommended Dish Network on-line. They has a special for up to 3 receivers and the basic 60 channels plus local channels for $29.95.
After we signed up on line, we received a call from Dish Network. They left a message saying they were sorry we missed our installation appointment. There was no appointment made. No one ever called from Dish Network to make an appointment. They said it was my responsibility to call them.
No where on-line did it say this. I lost a day of work for the next appointment because the installer never showed up. After I called them again, they agreed to send an installer on New Year's Day.
It was finally installed. We had the service for about 6 months and every month, a new charge for something was on the bill. Finally, I got frustrated and turned the service off.
Next thing I know, Dish Network accesses my bank account and takes $559.00 out without telling me. I found out when I made a withdrawal from an ATM and did not have any money.
Now they say it may take 2 weeks or more to get my money back and they are keeping $223.00 of that for a years contract. I did not sign a contract. The thing that brought my attention to Dish Network was that it stated "no contract to sign".
