Ripoff dishonest fraud fraudulent billing scam telemarketing publishing fraud thompsons

I have had the opportunity to be an employee for Thompson aka Thompsons Publishing Group in Washington Dc. I must say they run the most lucrative publishing scam. And it was real simple

Step 1. Thompson marketing team would develop books from infromation leached from the internet & print them "on demand" which simply means when you "review it" they print it off of a couple cheap monochromatic laser printers. Cost to make & print $7.00 including tele-marketing calls.

Step 2. Thompson would buy a list from an internet marketing company with names of professionals in business, government, law and academia advise them that for the last 30 years they have been publishing leader in the respective field in which they work tell them that the goverment is changing legislation & laws within the next 2 weeks & they need this manual to stay compliant or risk being prevy to litigation and they are sending the manual out for a free review "exclusively to valued members or companies of the Thompson Family" they just need to verify your mailing address. If you ask the cost they tell you its a subscriptive baised publication & you could review it for an indefinate amount of time.

Step 3. You will recive a 2 volume 3 ring looseleef binder with the leached internet information & an invoice for $400- $1850. There is no indication that there was ever an opportunity to review on the invoice. There is a DEMAND to pay. If you do not pay you will be sent to a collections agency in TAMPA FL... Which is Thompsons collection department. Stating they are collecting a debt.

Also if Thompson tele markerters find out that an employee of a business retires or leaves they will send the publication the that employee & claim they ordered it.

Telemarketers are encouraged to mislead 'lie' about the value & features about the publication also they have a huge turnover there are no one left in the telemarketing department in the 90 days of me first being hired. The company tells the employee that they will be making commissions from the amount of pubs sold. Lets see hmmmmm...

First month

Sent 38 pubs out for review (30 days)
Results after 30 days = 0 pubs paid for
Thompsons then forces us to call for "payups" we get 10% commissions.
If no payment is made then it is sent out for collections

Second month

Sent another 45 pubs for review... Same situation above got 3 payups from previous month made $120 for the entire month after draw.

Third month

Thompson training manager Matt Sottong tells " You are not a strong enough collector & you should consider finding something else.By the way there are no benifits & no full time employment so bacisally no rights.
