In July of I responded to a radio ad for Satellite America. The deal was the top 60 channels for $19.99. I gave them my bank account number to make the first month payment. When they came out and installed it, they did not make it clear that they could automatically deduct a charge back fee if my system was Temporarily turned off.in addition to that, they can take out how much they want.
In January of my satellite was turned off and since then has been turned back on.in February of $513 was deducted from my bank account. When I called they only told me it was a charge back fee and could not tell me what a charge back fee was. They also stated that my money would be returned if my satellite is not turned off within the next year. I left 2 messages to get some answers and neither message was returned.
It wasn't until I checked The Better Business Bureau that I learned that this company is unsatisfactory. They have a history of taking people's money out of their bank accounts and poor customer service along with many other related issues, but by then it was too late.
If my satellite was turned off completely and the contract was completely broken, I could understand that there would be a fee. However mine was turned off for a month and they are holding my money for ransom just in case it is turned off again. Whatever you do do not use Satellite America. They have poor customer service and their contracts give them the right to take as much money as they want out of your bank account and take it when they want.
