I Am writing to tell how people in Dish Network satelite services work. I payed my bill check by phone one month. When I called to make the payment I did not want to use the automated service I wanted to talk to someone. I wanted to make sure that all the information was correct. The lady that took all my info had a hard time hearing me same on my end. So I had to repeat the info more than once. But I thought everything was fine.
Until I got home one day and my service was turned off. It had been 10 days since I made the payment. I called the company right away they told me the check had been returned. I knew the money was there so I called the bank they said there had been no check presented from them.
So I told the company what was going on and they said there was nothing they could do. They told me that I would have to pay that bill plus a bill that wasn't even do yet. I had not even got a bill for it yet. I tried to explain to them it wasn't my fault she took the wrong numbers down.
I ask them if I could read them my checking account number to see if they would match and they said they didnt have records of them. That don't make since. So the next day I payed the payment by money gram because they said they would not except a check on me for six months. My service was turned on but if I wanted to watch a paperview movie I had to call them and it would be a five dollar charge plus the movie. But go figure the five dollars would come out of my checking account.
I feel that someone there made a honest mistake by taking down the wrong numbers but I had to be the one to pay for them. If that's the kind of people running this buisness I don't want there service. There is more satellite providers other than them. I feel like my rights have been violated and I have been taken advantage of just because they can. My whole family is on dish network but not after this. Thanks.
