VMC Satellite - Dish Network
Ripped off by charging a fee even though it was not cancelled

VMC Satellite and Dish Network charged the cancellation fee eventhough the contract was not cancelled.

In 2002 signed a contract for one year with Dish Network.in November a late payment was reported to VMC Satellite in turn VMC Satellite charged me a cancellation fee of $400.00 plus reported to all credit bureaus.

VMC Satellite has a contract with Dish Network, when you sign the contract for a year VMC Satellite only gets paid the full fee from Dish Network if the costumer keeps the contract for the full year.

The contract was never cancelled. After the late payment Dish Network was paid the full amount plus late fees and reconection fee. Also I had Dish Network for two more years. After I cancelled the service after 3 years of service and only originally sirned for one year I was charged the cancellation fee and told it was due to my late payment in 2002.
