Didn't deliver in time or rectify

Took broken glasses in and they couldn't repair. I ordered new ones and paid when ordered, told it would be ready in 10 days. I called them on Day 10 and they were not ready, had been delivered but not installed or inspected. Would be ready later that day or the next and would call me. At 5 pm the next, I called them again and still not ready - still had to be inspected. I wrote the company customer service email and got a call back. Picked them up the next day.
Was told by the company that the manager would talk to me when I picked them up and make the situation right. That did not happen. Called customer service back and reported this did not happen. I made one last call to customer service today (called twice and the person not available - they then called me back). She stated that manager called me by phone and apologized and I got my glasses.
My problem is that I was told one thing and expected notification of problems proactively, not me calling to see if they did what they needed to do. I was done with LensCrafters when that happened but Customer Service stated "they will make it right". Giving me my glasses on day 12 when they promised Day 10 and apologizing isn't making it right. Will find a local provider next time and ignore the large chains.
