In october I was shipping my CPU tower for an upgrade and a check up for a minor problem. UPS never delivered the package though it was properly labeled and packed IN EXCESS to their guidelines (which were given to me on the phone and practically non-existent).
Needless to say they managed by excessive abuse and carlessness to damage the unit. To this date the refuse to pay the insurance I PAID FOR. They claim the damage was "Due to improper packaging" I brought this up at a co-op board meeting and several people laughed sadly as they experienced the same exact nonsense.
They inspected the packaging 2X, never respond to numerous letters and inquiries so I proceeding to Small Claims Court, the D.A. And have filed a complaing to Consumer Affairs.
They are a NY and Ohio Corporation. I hope they don't try their usual abuse toward their newly teamster-ized employees or these evil folks will soon be swimming with the fishes.
I would risk anthrax before i ever receive or send a package where UPS is involved. Everytime I order something I explicitly request US priority mail, airborne, or FedEx. Don't just whine get involved... Sue the Bastards.
