Bay Carpet
Exceptional service and skill

Next to having to live among boxes and disorder and tons of plaster dust for weeks, my greatest anxiety about doing a full renovation of my co-op was dealing with a carpet company to install wall-to-wall carpeting throughout the apartment, while working around a lot of furniture (including a breakfront and piano), and accommodating a schedule necessitating 3 separate installations. From the moment I called Bay Carpet and spoke with Melina, and then had two visits from a really savvy sales rep (he completely "got" my anxiety and skepticism), I was slowly beginning to believe the "ordeal" would be okay. "Okay" doesn't come close — the Karastan carpeting I chose is beautiful, and the installations were performed without a glitch — even after having to change dates once or twice. Although I was home for only the largest of the three installations (my contractor dealt with the others), I was overwhelmed by the professionalism of the two men who wrangled a HUGE amount of carpeting without sighing, complaining, or commenting on the need to address things like baseboard molding and other architectural details. I was nervous about the newly painted walls and fragility of some of the things they needed to move, but my fears were unfounded. Bay Carpet's Phil, Barbara, Carlos, and Melina were practically on speed-dial as the time for each installation approached, and they were all a joy to work with. I am slowly "reclaiming" my home, I am seeing less and less plaster dust, and I still marvel at how a significant space was so simply, effortlessly, and beautifully carpeted by Bay Carpet. Absolute gratitude to all.
