The old bait and switch game!

Dear consumers; please beware, of whats called bait and switch.
I called directv back june, to cancel our services with them. It was too much money to continue.
The man I talked to on the phone was very nice, one of the best. He said he,
Wanted to make us happy, and didnt want to lose us as consumers!
We were paying 110.00, when I called, and some channels were interupted,
Because of a dispute with viacom. They even had the, CEO, on tv, saying they were,
Working on these issues. Well the man on the phone, gave us an offer,
if we would contract with them for two years. So he told us that we would
be upgraded to hd dvrs, the sunday nfl ticket, and 3 free movie channels,
and would bring the price down to 70.00 per month, if we would stay.
Well my husband thought it was worth staying, so I asked the nice,
service rep, 5 times so 70.00 per month right? Absolutely,
he said! Well everything was fine until last month, when they said,
my husbands checkcard wouldnt go through., what I said...
So this went on three different times then after losing my cool,
they said, oh it was the wrong, experation date! Then they were charging,
after taxes about 98.00 back almost where we were! I argued,
over and over again, they said the deal was only for three months.
No I said, and gave them the service reps id#. They said no way they could get it,
no way could they give me the qouted price of 70.00!! Im not
done with this yet, so please everyone, they are not telling
the truth at all. Oh and I also told them to listen to the recording,
of what the service rep promised me! They said no they were just
looking at the notes written. I was also tossed and tossed around,
Over and over again! I was also supposed to get hooked up with a box on
Internet... Never got it, and they said it would cost for the service call and
the hookup to the internet, for the wholehome... And they have the #1 customer
service? Wow, not even close! If I want to get out if contract now it would
cost about 420.00 They are so deceitful, the CEO, and the rest of the
hoodlums should beware, and be ashamed of theirselves. Im not done
with them at all... My atty, already knows about this, and we will
be contacting the atty. General... Thank you jill watertown, mn
