I tried to subcribe to Talktalk internet. But when the Hub arrived it did not fit so, I called TalkTalk the very day the Hub arrived 13/04. Narrated the problem and was advised to get a local person to rewire the telephone line which I objected and right there I cancelled the contract. I was informed if I cancelled, I will have to pay £4.00p for the period before disconnection and should return the Hub and that my line will be disconnected within 11 working days. I agreed and sent off the Hub the following day with a cheque of £5.00 enclosed as instructed by recorded delivery. The following 14/04 day I called BT and had a new cointract with them and they agreed to provide me another line within the same period of 11 days. But to my greatest surprise I received another bill from Talktalk demanding the sum of £42.00p. When I called to inquire thewaved off the £120. Chatge for the enguineer's visit to rewire the line which never happeneded. I demanded to speak to the manager who eventiually told me that he has cancelled everything and I should ignore any future correspondence. I requested he should put into into writing but he never did. A month later they sent me another bill requesting for payment after the manager had assured me that the case was closed. I am very shocked to receive another mail from a debt recovery company asking me to pay up opf face legal proceedings. I am stunned at this day light robbery as, I never continued with the contract and was cancelled vbefore it even started. So pls. Help! Thanks
