In the month of Febuary we decided to switch from verizon to straighttalk because we could not afford the bills from verizon anymore. I called Verizon and asked when my contract was cancelled and the reply was Febuary 21. So we ordered our phones from straight talk in advance and when I got my phone I had my number transferred to straight talk (leaving the phone line still active so I wouldnot have to pay a fee for canceling early.) By the time my husbands phone got here it was Febuary 21 so we transferred his number at that time and cancelled the contract on Febuary 21.
However, we recieved our final bill with an extra 65.00 charge on it so we called because we were curious about it. The csr Vicki (id number 4132) stated that because we cancelled our contract two days early we were charged 65.00. I told her we called twice about our contract and the csr said it ended Febuary 21 not Febuary 23. Me and my husband have been a customer for 4 years with verizon and this is how they thank us for their business by trying to rip us off! I told the csr that I know she had the power to fix the problem and she refused to do so. I will never go back to this company and I want as many people to know about this. I could understand if I broke my contract however We did not!!! And by the way it was a two day difference!!!
