I was at the Showboat Casino with my husband on Saturday, July 28th. We decided that instead of driving from VA that we would try a Casino Bus Tour. After arriving, we walked around for a little bit to check out the place, this was our first time here and our last. I played at the slot machines for a little bit and we decided to play at the BIG 6. After about 1 hour or so at the Big 6, we noticed that the Cocktail Waitresses were nowhere to be found. When we did see someone serving drinks, they just kept walking pass the Big 6 table. We decided to find a bar and get a drink, the bar tender there was really nice and attentive. We went back out on the floor and decided to play again at the Big 6 table. My husband had been playing but I also decided to start playing. After another couple of hours, we still did not get any service from any waitress out on the floor. I decided to take a break and get my husband a drink from the bar. Another hour passes by and still no service, so this is no 4 hours later with no service from anybody. When I did finally decided to approach this Cocktail Waitress named Joyce, she stared at me from head to toe and pretty much said "NO" and said that she could not serve me. I asked her why and she pretty much said that because she did not see me playing at any of the tables of slot machines. My question was that how can she possible know this when she was not even around our area to begin with? The dealer from the Big 6 table saw this and told me to speak with a manager and pointed at her manager. I walked over and what looked like was the High Baller's lounge and talked to the manager. I explained to him what just happened and while I was explaining the same Cocktail waitress was walking by us and when the manager stopped her she just raised her arms up and said that she does not have time for this and walked away. I was appalled by this, if she is treating management like that then how can she have any respect for the customers of this casino. The manager then told me that he is not the Food & Beverage Manager and then he called 2 other F & B managers to come out. I cannot remember their names because I don't recall them introducing themselves. Again, I explained the situation and they asked to point her out to them and they went inside and talked to her. When they came out, they pretty much just took her side and explained that the casino policy is that if you don't play you don't get service from the waitresses. This was their resolution! I asked one of the other waitresses for the her name and she pretty much said that they get a lot of complaints about the same lady but management does not do anything about it. She told me to call another manager on the service phone that is higher than the 3 I dealt with. After I got off the phone, security was standing behind me and said that he was called by the F&B managers and labeled me as being intoxicated and said that they cannot serve me anymore drinks for tonight. Just because I was holding a half an empty glass while I was speaking to them. My husband also tried to speak with the F&B manager but he pretty much told my husband the same thing. Just because I spoke up and wanted to call them out on their poor customer service, I was labeled as being intoxicated and hostile for the rest of the night. I felt that just by her looking at me from head to toe that she decided that she was not going to serve me based on how I looked. We decided to go to the Borgata and just as I suspected we got way better service. I do not recommend this place to anybody!!! The cocktail waitresses are rude and the management team from the food and beverage are no help!!
