I just paid $41.80 for a meal that might have been good if it had been served correctly. I don't demand perfect service. Adequate is just fine. I don't even mind really poor waiters as long as they seem to be trying their best. First of all, we, there were just two of us, did not get waited on for our drinks for about 15 minutes. Finally, we put our drink orders in, and my date's drink arrived first. Mine did not arrive for another 10 minutes. We were just about to walk out when the waitress brought my drink. We decided to be prepared to order when our waitress came back. We ordered the sampler appetizer, a burger, and a salad. Our entrees arrived before the appetizer. It was pretty clear that the waitress had put in the appetizer order and the entree order in at the same time. Further, it seems that the appetizer was ready to go out before the entree because when we finally got it, it was cold. Cold spinach and artichoke dip is practically inedible as are cold cheese sticks. I had ordered water to have with my salad, but I never got it. I asked one of the three or four waitresses that seemed to be waiting on my table for the water a second time, but it never came. Our table had no silverware, but our waitress never showed up again until well after the food had been delivered by two other waitresses. Finally, I asked for silverware from the waitress who was waiting the table behind us.By this time I was pretty disgusted. The salad was nothing to be impressed over. The menu said hot bacon dressing would show up with my salad, but the dressing tasted like plain Ranch. When our original waitress showed up, she didn't ask if everything was fine. She just kind of mumbled a vague 'can I get you anything?', which I was not prepared to risk. I just wanted some to-go plates so I could get out of there. She brought several of the half-size to-go plates, explaining that the restaurant didn't have any bigger plates. She didn't say they were out, just that they didn't have any. Another waitress clarified that the restaurant usually did have them, but that they were out. After putting the salad into four of the small boxes, I asked for a bag. I've waited tables before, and I admit I am no good at it. However, I think I would have known to bring a bag for that many boxes. The restaurant was not busy.in fact, just over half of the tables were full. If there was a manager there, he or she was nowhere to be seen. It seems to me the restaurant's policies on waiting tables needs to be revisited and made more efficient. I will never find out if they do because I won't be going back.
