We wrote an offer on a Fannie Mae home in Oroville CA. The Fannie Mae Agent made a counter offer. We accepted the counter offer the same day. The loan was approved and the property was in excrow. Suddenly, the Fannie Mae agent stated that he would not sell the house. He stated that it must go to "Wholesale". The property is not scheduled to go to "wholesale" until January 25th, 2 months from now. This agent refused to send an e-mail stating his position. Even the real estate agent felt that something was amiss... It appears to me that something underhanded is going on: (After a set period of time, these repos go to "wholesale" and are purchased in bulk for "investment". IE: The rich get richer and the poor get screwed!) It cost me a couple of thousand to go to California and find a home, and now I must start over. Are all California agencies this underhanded and unreliable?
