I am now a victim of George S. May's high pressure and deceptive practices. Why anyone would choose to use these people is beyond me. I have no one to blame but myself I have been in business for over 30 years and let myself be dooped by these criminals.
I was appraoched in my office regarding a consulatation at a new business I opened only a few months back. I was offered a special deal only $ 200 for an initial consultation instead of the normal $ 350. I figured what couldn't hurt only $ 200. Well it turned out that the initial consultation was not that at all it was a cleverly orchastrated scheme to get as much $ for nothing as they could get.
First the very next morning before 8am a little old lady appeared at this new place of business. She was very pleasant like my grandmother. Immediatly she was shocked at the state of this new business and promised a number of solutions to our immediate problems if we would only agree to enter into a consulting agreement. Each consultant would cost $ 168/hour plus travel and lodginjg.
She explained that we could ask them to termainate the project at any time. She said we would get formulas after the first day that would help us with inventory, cost controlls, job costing and at that time we could simply ask them to leave. She stayed the entire day and engraciated herself to my wife and at the end of the day I agreed to try it for 1 day. She wrote up a contract gave it some fancy name and estimated 50 hours to complete. She called George S. May and said some sort of pledge of allegance to them and blesed the beginning of this new project.
The next day not one but two consultants showed up out of the blue even before we opened for businees before 8am Where did they come from? How could any company have people running all over the country free to get to my little town in the middle of nowhere in 12 hours? I should have known at that time that this was a scam and I was very suspecious.
Granny was still with them when the two consultants arrived the next morning a Project Manager whatever that is and an additional consultant. I told them at that time that we didn't need two people but they informed me I already had the project manager for the rest of the day whether I wanted him or not. I informed them that night he didn't need to come back and the other one didn't need to come back either but I was told that if they could stay for only one more day they could provide me with important formula's to help in running this new business.
The next day I told the second consultant not to come back but he would not leave without a letter requesting they leave which I provided. This letter laid it out that I was unhappy didn't need their services and that I was getting ripped off. They would not accept that letter and asked for a very simple statement that I wanted to terminate the project which I provided. They still would not leave until I gave them Certified checks for the 40 hour they 24 hours they were billing me for totaling over $ 7000 plus travel and lodging which I was billed for seperatly.
As soon as they finally left I wrote a letter to George S. May and Company complaining and threating legal action. They immediatly repleid that they would review the situation that they didn't want any unhappy customers and they would get back to me. Obviously they do this all the time because withing a few days I received a phone call and the representative wanted to argue every point with me and pointed out that I agreed to all the scam and that I sent them a letter saying I was satisfied and my wife sined off on progress reports and a whole bunch of BS they use just to cover their back side.
This is a well orchistrated rip off well practiced and designed to cover their back side. They are professionals and have designed their whole operation around get in, get out and cover their backside. Do not use them for any reason.
