Purchased from Lowes Whirlpool Refrigerator in May which was delivered and installed.in Novemeber 2011 noticed tiles cracking. Found leak when tile was removed. Called Farmers Ins. Their plumber found refrigerator had slow leak from the valve to water dispenser. The leak over time produced mold in the back wall, custom side cabinets, baseboard and tiles. Lowes was contacted. Their Service Advantage tech came out, confirmed the valve was leaking and replaced it. On 12/21, the valve was found to be leaking again. Contacted Lowes, the fridge was replaced. Filed claim with Whirlpool for defective refrigerator causing damage to our property. Whirpool File No. Adc11-115584. We provided the defective part to whirlpool and they sent it out to their mfg for investigation. Now we have been advised that the defective part has been tested (although this part was changed by Whirlpool's technician) and have denied the claim.
