I purchased a whirlpool refrigerator in May. This refrigerator is only 14 months old. On Sunday, 9/9n the lower part of the refrigerator stopped working. No appliance men available on Sunday. I purchased a extended plan from Whirlpool. I contacted the people from which I bought the refrig from on Monday, 9/10, service rep not available and no service repair men available. I contacted Whirlpool and told me that they would contact the gentlemen who they have to fix Whirlpool refrigerators. They told me at that time the serviceman was not availabe until Sept. 25th. Uncalled for - I asked the Whirlpool rep if I could try another service rep and they told me if I got someone else to fix it, I would have to pay and not get my $250.00 for loss food (which I lost more than $250.00. Totally ufair - I am 73 years old and live alone. We do live on an island and it's not they we can get dry ice, like the whirlpool rep told me to do. They also told me the whirlpool repair man would call me and set up an appointment, which he did, on Wed he showed up and said he needed to order a part, and he could not get a part until Tuesday, 9/18. Which is total absured.
