I purchased a Cabrio Whirlpool washer and dryer in March from Lowes in Baltimore - Catonsville, MD and my washer went out on my in late July. It took two months (mid September) before my washer was fixed. I am so sorry I purchased these appliances from Whirlpool; even though I haven't had a problem with the dryer yet, it makes me wonder. Before washing machine went out, it was making a horrible sound, like an airplane lifting off. For a minute, I thought I was living near BWI Airport. Now, that it's fixed, it's still making the horrible noise. The technician stated that the motor went out and another part needed to be ordered; which it was. Now that the part has been ordered and replaced, its still making that awful sound, but I guess it's more then the just motor. Listening to all these testimonies confirms my suspension that I received a defective washer.
