I bought over $5,000 worth of furniture from Ashley. The sales lady I had was very slow and started and restarted the paper work. I was in the store over 3 hours, so I was very frustrated when I left. On Dec 14th my daughter met the delivery drivers at my house, as I could not take off work. She called me and asked if I had ordered a night stand and a cocktail table. I told her yes, and she said it had not been delivered. I called the store that afternoon only to find that they had conveniently left it offer the order form making it look like i had never paid for either item. I hadn't gone over my receipt, trusting that it was all correct. Big mistake. The sales lady had verbally gone over everything with me and my total cost. So here I am paying yet a 2nd time for the night stand and the cocktail table. A few days after the delivery of my furniture I noticed paint missing from the places on the headboard of my bed. I asked myself if I was even going to report it. So they called me yesterday and said my nightstand and cocktail table would be delivered 01-11. I decided I would contact customer service about my head board. Being the honest person I am I called and got quite a surprise. The lady made it impossible for me to get a word in. She was not only rude, but was very snappy with every thing she said. She told me that Ashley had no way of knowing if the delivery guys did it or if I did it. Even though I do understand that, there is a much nicer way to talk to a customer. I waited a while to report the head board, only because this experience that should have been enjoyable for me had yet in fact turned in to a night mare. I feel like I have been wronged in so many ways by this company. Im only touching the surface with this email. I feel the customer service department should take a class in how to listen to a customer without interrupting in a rude tone and manner. Ill end this by saying that I will probably never walk back in the door of and Ashley Furniture Home Store and will certainly not be recommending them to my friends. I do feel like I deserve compensation for the paint peeling off my head board. Especially after the experience Ive had. Thank you in advance for responding.
