Complaint / review text:
Ashley furniture delivered multiple furniture items. The entertainment system was not correct. Delivery guys refused to acknowledge that the furniture was wrong and left.
Contacted store and were referred to delivery warehouse. Warehouse stated that the incorrect item was delivered and that the truck would return to pick up the wrong furniture. They also stated that our furniture was at the warehouse and that they would call us back about delivery.
The delivery truck returned very quickly and picked up the furniture. Delivery men were unhappy and unprofessional about the mistake they made.
Several hours later no call from warehouse. I called the warehouse to learn that they would call me in 48 to 72 hours then we could schedule the delivery. I asked them why they could not deliver the furniture today since the agreed that the furniture was there in the warehouse I was calling. Also that the warehouse was 30 min away. I was instructed that it was not possible.
The warehouse then stated that I would be given another 4-6hour block to wait for my furniture to be delivered after they called me in 72 hours. I asked for a refund of the delivery charge since the furniture was not delivered. The stated to me that they do not refund delivery charges.
I asked them if they would rather I canceled my order then return the money they charged me for the service they did not provide. ASHLEY FURNITURE told me I can cancel. So they would rather lose a thousand dollars than refund a 59 dollar delivery fee.
ASHLEY FURNITURE's customer service was unappoligetic and refused to correct any problem except to offer me a chance to use leave to stay home from work and wait in a 4-6hour block for my furniture to be delivered.
If you expect furniture to be delivered on time and professionally don't choose ASHLEY FURNITURE.
If you expect helpfull customer service and a plan to correct and compensate consumers whom do not recieve what they pay for. Don't choose ASHLEY FURNITURE.
I will be ordereing the exact same piece of Furniture from another Phoenix Valley furniture store. If I have to I will pay more to ensure I am working with a professional and competent company. I will send ASHLEY FURNITURE a copy of the invoice.
