Deposit Required After Paying Bills For 40 Years!

For the past two years I have TRIED to mail in my bills using the TECO supplied envolopes. For reasons no one can explain, (teco or my assistants) The checks never clear and I get late notices. So we do the payments by phone and pay the $4.95 service charge. My assistant moved on and work has been slow. So I started making the payments. I did mail one in successfully in May and June. Appearently the same thing has happened since JUly and my service was being turned off in late sept. I should have noticed the bill going up but that was my mistake. Nonetheless. I have paid TECO now over $1000.00 in electric for 4 months back and now am caught up. I did this in 3 weeks time. Now they say because I was a bad boy, I owe a $515.00 DEPOSIT on an account that is 40 YEARS OLD! They will still shut off my power if not paid by Oc1 31.in times when a roofer works his * off and the economy is slow, the monopoly called TECO can bury a person. This is the same guy who until yesterday took care of his 90 year old mother and without power, she could have died. SO I moved her to a facility and hopefully they won't shut off her power there!
