I’m writing in reference to a rental house that I purchased back in Feb. The address is 1380 35th St. Winter Haven, Fl 33880. Since, I purchased this house it has been a rental and has been rented continuously from one renter to another renter.
In May the house was once again rented to a new renter. The renter came to TECO, in order to put down a deposit to have the electric turned on in her name. The renter put the deposit down and expected the electric to be turned on, but to no avail since to date they still have not turned on the electric at this location. These renters have been in this home for the few weeks with no electric. I’m not sure what the problem has been, but I have called numerious times as well as my son also has left too many messages to mention on a recorded line that the TECO Company states we need to call in the Revenue department.
The person’s name is Julie. I’m not sure who Julie is but she doesn’t return her phone calls. They tell me she is in the revenue department. George is also in this same department and he has never returned any calls either. I would have gone to the location of TECO; however I have been informed that there is no physical location.
The new tenants account number is 02210108923. Could someone please tell me what is going on here as this seem like it would border on illegal to leave these people in a home after they have made a deposit with no electricity. If I do not receive a phone call back or the electric is not turned on in the next 3 days from the receipt of this letter I will have no other alternative than to seek legal attention.
