I am a disabled Iraq war veteran 100%. I recieved in the mail about a so called goverment backed direct deposit program called Direct Express. I had both my veteran disability and SSI funds deposited on this card. They didn't disclose that it was a prepaid debit card. I couldn't make some on purchases. I can't pay for gas at pumps. More places will not except prepaid cards.
So in april i cancelled my acount and had my deposits put in my home town bank. Oct 1st i found out that my money was not in my account and the VA and social security said that my funds were sent to Direct Express. They had resubmitted to have my funds put back in thier card with out my authorization. I now have over 500 dollars in bounced checks and overdraft fees! They wont give me a reason for this, and i cant get any help!
