I have been paying for AARP roadside service $45 for a few years. The other day I called to ask for maps and was told that I belonged to the road & tow plan and was NOT entitled to maps. To be in that plan I would have had to pay them $46 a year. This service was NEVER offered to me and I had no knowledge of it.
They sent me a check for $10.50 as a member refund and said that when I renew I will get a 25% discount.
I also e-mailed Allstate who say that they have nothing to do with this service. Then from AARP I recieved a products & services directory and in the middle of the booklet it reads: AARP Roadside Assistance from Allstate. So please tell me who is lying the most?
I am a senior citizen who is tired of being ripped off by these big companies. I have since bought the maps I needed for the amount of $69.27. Thank you
