When the Sam's near my job closed I transferred my scripts to CVS near my home since my insurance is Caremark, the first time I tried to pick up my insulin I was told to call my insurance as they had denied coverage, I used my cell phone and was told it was denied because I had picked up a bottle two days prior, apparently CVS ran it through as a filled script by mistake and when I told the employee she yelled "I already took care of it", if she was going to call Caremark she should not have told me to do it. The second time I called for my insulin was a Sunday, I asked the clerk what time the store was closing and he said 7:00 pm, I arrived at 6:30 pm only to find the window closed, another employee said "he must have forgotten it is Sunday and the pharmacy closes at 6:00pm" no apology, I was directed to a CVS a few miles away after being told
" it's open 24 hours" drove to the second CVS and of course the pharmacy was closed as well "we stopped being a 24 hour pharmacy" (the why is there 2 large signs outside proclaiming it is a 24 hour pharmacy?) Today I tried to call the CVS near my job and the second I told the clerk I needed a refill she slammed me on hold, when she finally picked up I told her it is very rude to put someone on hold without telling them or asking them, she replied you could use the "automated refill service" I guess they don't want customers bothering them. When I went to the pharmacy I had a new script for syringes, I first went to the drop off window where they left me standing, no other customers at either window and 5 employees, after waiting for a while I moved to the pick up counter to pick up the Lantus and BP medication refills, I told her I needed syringes and had a new script for them, she told me I would have to pay for the medication I was picking up, move to the drop off area which by now had a line because "that is the way we do it here". Today I will move my scripts to another pharmacy, I will NEVER step foot in a CVS for ANY reason.
