I have been attempting to get a refill of my blood pressure medication since Tuesday. Part of the problem was the doctor's office, I assume, however, the doctor's office notified me that the refill had been handled. I went to pick up the perscription on Wednesday, December 16th and pharmacy personnel advised they had not received the refill approval. I called the doctor's office and yesterday they notified me again that the fax had been received. Today, Friday, December 18, I called the pharmacy and they advised me their fax is broken and the doctor's office has to call them.
I find a non-working fax in a pharmacy totally unacceptable since doctors fax most of their perscription refills back to the pharmacy.
This is the holiday season and many people including myself will be leaving the city and need refills of their medication. I will not be using CVS in the future.
The pharmacy manager, Robert, is extremely efficient and pleasant, however I attempt not to use the pharmacy unless he is there due to the incompetence of the pharmacy personnel who work when he is out.
