Think Twice about Verizon FiOS

On 7 December i switched from Comcast HighSpeed Internet to Verizon FiOS and that is where the nightmare began. From day one we were unable to activate FiOS and could not establish our new email addresses. Since that time we have spoken with Verizon Tech Support on at least 5 occasions (and growing) and we never get any assistance. During ever call we are given that same checklist answer: Your ticket is open and it should be fixed by morning. If not, giver it 24/48 hours and it will be repaired and a technician will call you. We have elevated the problem to the next level.

Even with all of this seemingly helpful and supportive information, no one ever calls, the problem is never fixed, and the same delays are issued. Although common sense says just delete the account and create a new one, apparently Verizon's approach is delay the customer and wait for the developers.

Although I was disappointed with the service i was receiving from Comcast, At least they took immediate action, sent techs to the house, provided refunds for services not received, etc. At least i received some level of effort and action. With Verizon I simply have been ignored... Just another number in their system: Ticket Number VAFS#. Extremely Disappointed and already considering turning off the service. Be Cautious if considering Verizon FiOS!!!
