I switched to FIOS because Comcast was devoid of customer service. After 6 months, I can say that Verizon FIOS is worse than Comcast. Eight times out of 10, FIOS cable box needs to be reset. It is frustrating to turn on the TV to have to unplug it for 30 seconds, reboot, etc. On Demand content has greatly been reduced in 2012. The automated customer service is slow, frustrating, and useless. The website is cumbersome and difficult to navigate. It seems impossible to talk to a human being at Verizon. I wanted to like FIOS and Verizon especially since my father used to work there. When my contract is up, I am switching back to Comcast.
