FIOS Triple Freedom - bundle package

I have Verizon FIOS triple freedom and have for some time. I was approached by Comcast and offered the same service for $35 less. I like Verizon and would like to stay with them. I have made 3 calls to customer service and asked them to remove the rental for the 3 High Definition STB rental boxes at 9.99 each. That would give me approx. The same savings as Comcast. I saw on TV the $84.99 FIOS Triple Play and thought maybe I could get my triple freedom for $30 less and stay with Verizon. I was told that FIOS triple play is for new customers and that I did not qualify. My question is"Why would you lose a good customer and try to gain a new customer while letting the first one go?" It makes no sense; I can switch to Comcast for 6 months and then switch to Verizon and qualify for the lower program. If I am a valued customer (Which I'm told when I call) why can't a reasonable compromise be reached? I really am disappointed in the options provided and would appreciate an answer at your convenience. If a new customer lived in my house, in my neighborhood and called for service they would receive the FIOS Triple Play. You already have me for a customer and are willing to let me go because of "rules".in my eyes how can you say this is fair? I would appreciate some feedback if available. Thank you, Glenda Wiland
