First of all let it be known that only one magic jack number at a time can be used on any given computer. It took 45 minutes with a non-English speaking CSR from Magic Jack to figure this out.
My question to them was this: can more than one magic jack phone number be used on the same computer? I have one for home and one I use for my business. Simple question... Right? Wrong!
After 45 minutes of horsing around, the CSR asked me to call myself on each phone to see what happened. I did as requested, though I thought it unusual. After all, shouldn't they know this?
Results: One jack works the other just went into vmail. I explained this to the CSR only for her to respond with: "guess not to work 2 phones."
In other words, they experiemented with me to find out if more than one unit at a time could be used on the Magic Jack. How absurb!
Whatever! I hate AT&T enough not to go back, but you will need one computer for every Magic Jack you get. This is inconvenient for someone like me who runs a busy enterprise, but for others it may mean nothing. As a whole, it has been OK.
I do wish, though, that we could have real Americans back to work instead of companies like Magic Jack outsourcing to countries who do not understand the needs of the average American.
The Magic Jack concept is good. The customer service, however, is less than adequate and it is very difficult to sift through the maze on their website to locate help.
