Robbed by Insurance USA & Associates.
June 4th I brought a used jaguar. I already own an Acura and have insurance with Star Casualty that I received from the agent Insurance USA & Associates. While at the dealership I called Insurance USA and spoke to Victor in effort to add the new car to my current policy. I was told that the company I have insurance with requires $100.00 deposit in order to add a vehicle. It didn't sound right but I hadn't had any problems with them in the past so I paid the money cash to the dealership and they cut a check for the agent. They faxed over proof the car was added and I went home.
About 2 weeks later I received my bill from the agent on behalf of Star casualty. The total was large because it was my last payment before I either renewed or left that company. But I was skeptical so I attempted to reach the agent Insurance USA. The mailbox was full for a week so I called the company Star casualty directly and was told that the bill was high because I recently added a car which added $226.00 premium to my policy. They hadn't received my $100.00 payment at all. As a matter of fact they do not require a deposit to add a car. I was upset. I explained that I paid Insurance USA. I made all my monthly payments to Insurance USA. Again I attempted to contact the agent with no luck. I received a message that Insurance USA was closed and to contact my company directly. I called the dealership back and they gave me information they received from a fax advertisement. Advertising "The New Insurance USA" the address had changed but the contact was still Victor. I called the new office and spoke to Victor who tried to screen the call and asked for my money. He said that that company was out of business and just because they have some of the same people at that office doesn't make them the same company. I again demanded my money. He hung up on me and refused to speak. It was straight robbery. I need help to get my $100.00 back or at least paid to Star casualty.
They stole money from me and probably others and closed that office and opened another one to start the scam all over. I was outraged. I called Star casualty and had no luck with them giving me credit for my payment. The dealership said they would give me a copy of the check cashed by Insurance USA.
