My husband purchased insurance threw Magnum Insurance Group which went threw Sterling casualty Insurance. We recently found out that they had a different vin # on our insurance papers for our vehicle. We had been paying them around $220.00 a month for about two years.
The company is saying that it is our fault for not checking the vin #'s and if we were to have gotten in a accident with this vehicle they wouldn't have payed for anything. We had basicaly paid every month for no coverage.
Our financing company has been charging us insurance coverage on our truck payments. I told them we had insurance but, everytime they called my insurance company to get proof they told them that the vehicle was not covered they had a different vin#.
My husband's credit has been ruined by the finance company for not paying there insurance charges. Magnum Insurance says they can do nothing for getting proof of insurance for those two years. But, we can pay them fifty dollars to start a new policy!
